Would you like to help us make Sheffield a greener, more inclusive city?

Roots & Bloom is a brand new flower farm and social enterprise located on Manor Lane, just opposite the Rhubarb Shed café. Our mission is to bring eco friendly flowers to Sheffield, and to provide innovative dementia support for people who are under 65.

Since the beginning of May 2021 we’ve been working hard to build the farm but now we need your help! We’re looking for people who would like to join us for one-off days, or more regularly, to help us grow the project into something that the whole community can enjoy.

You don’t need to have any experience to volunteer, all we ask is that you’re over 18 and have a willingness to learn! Some of the things you could expect to be doing as a volunteer are…

• Creating raised beds

• Building compost heaps

• Seed sowing, potting up and planting out

• Harvesting flowers and making bouquets

• Delivering our flowers to customers

• Helping to run our events and activities

• Being a buddy for someone who is living with young onset dementia during our “Supported Flower Farming” sessions.
